"White Nights", a novella by Fyodor Dostoevsky, published in 1848, deviates from the author's usual social and political themes, offering readers a sentimental and romantic story. The events take place in St. Petersburg during the so-called white nights-a phenomenon characteristic of Russia's northern latitudes, where twilight barely sets in, creating a surreal atmosphere perfect for the encounter between the protagonist, known simply as the Dreamer, and Nastenka-a young girl just as dreamy as he is.
