ENGLISH DESCRIPTION “All the Ends of the World is a reflection on love, friendship, desire and the fragile limits we impose to keep them separate. It is a novel that, with its soft and measured prose, invites us to envision other ways of loving and storytelling.” -Aura García-Junco “Who would you want to be with at the end of the world?” It may seem like a hypothetical question, but for Angélica, who lives in a world dominated by climate catastrophe with extreme weather driving many to shelter indoors, it becomes an obsession. Manu and Susana, her neighbors and friends in Madrid, are one possibility: the three of them together, lying on the grass in a park; in each other’s arms, watching a movie in Manu’s room; or spending their last days in the bar where Susana works. But before she can answer, Angélica must return to Mexico, taking with her the question that will continue to haunt her even after the world collapses. All the Ends of the World is a story in three parts that cleverly spans place, time and literary genres to probe the fine line between love and friendship. With this novel, Andrea Chapela finds hope in the future even in the midst of disaster.
