Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) was an English author, illustrator, and naturalist best known for her beloved children's books featuring animal characters, especially The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Her charming stories, accompanied by delicate watercolor illustrations, have captivated generations of readers. A pioneer in both storytelling and publishing, Potter retained creative control over her work and was one of the first authors to license character-based merchandise. Beyond writing, she was a dedicated conservationist and sheep farmer, using her success to preserve the English countryside. Her legacy lives on through her timeless tales and contributions to children's literature and nature conservation.
