This book brings together a collection of unsettling stories about obsessive characters and rarefied atmospheres. Love, pain, strange and incomprehensible realities, lives on the brink of collapse. An exploration of the boundaries that separate logic and knowledge. The book constructs a system of mirrors: expeditions to the edge of the world (Antarctica), clinics and stadiums, clubs and motels, beds and secular temples. Journalistic investigation, personal testimony, documents, and legends coexist in a prose that is as thoughtful as it is narrative. The common thread is the exposed body, subject to fever, desire, fanaticism, and violence, and the question of what sustains us when everything falls apart.
