This topical and authoritative dictionary covers the language of contemporary interactive telecommunication and multimedia applications including personal computing and Windows terminology. Containing about 30000 entries with liberally referenced terms and numerous abbreviations and 13 tables, it focusses on ISDN, mobile radio, network services (Internet), management and digital video and speech processing. More than an ordinary dictionary, this book , with its many annotations and extensive lists of ITU-T recommendations, ETSI standards and international standardisation organisations in the appendix, should prove to be a valuable reference work for all who work in telecommunication and information services and technology.
