Discover a rich mythical world of fairies, warriors, wizards and giants in this collection of Celtic folklore. This anthology brings together legends and stories from the Celtic nations of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France. The adventures of the heroes and mythical figures of these tales take us from Scotland and Cornwall to the surrounding seas, with stories from major Celtic texts such as the Mabinogion and the Irish sagas. Included in the anthology are cornerstones of Celtic literature, such as the stories of Thomas the Rhymer, Beira Queen of Winter and Pwyll and Rhiannon. Each story is accompanied by bite-size, approachable and entertaining commentary from academic and editor Dr Jean Menzies. Part of the Macmillan Collector's Library, a series of stunning, cloth-bound, pocket-sized classics with gold foiled edges and ribbon markers. These beautiful books make perfect gifts or a treat for any book lover.
