The Wonder Team and the Rainforest Rescue is the third book in the bestselling time-twisting adventure series from Leah Williamson, captain of the Euros-winning England team!
It's time to kick off an adventure with the Wonder Team!
Leah and her friends have been magically transported to the rainforests of Tanzania! Back in time and far away from home, the Wonder Team have to use all their skills to uncover the mysteries of the forest and find a way back to the present.
But there's danger lurking in the rainforest. A gang of poachers are after the local chimpanzee tribe, and it's up to Leah, Mimi, George and their new friend Bupe to find a way to save the animals from capture, before it's too late . . . Written with debut author Jordan Glover and with brilliant illustrations by Robin Boyden, this is the perfect book for children aged 8 - 12! Don't miss Leah's other adventures in The Wonder Team and the Pharaoh's Fortune and The Wonder Team and the Football Phantom!
Leah Williamson plays as a defender for Arsenal and the Lionesses, England Women's Football team. Leah captained the Lionesses to victory in the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 and 2025!
As the first captain in the men's or women's senior teams to lead England to a European victory, Leah is uniquely positioned to motivate and inspire younger generations, and her first book, You Have the Power, is her empowering guide for children. Jordan Glover grew up with her nose perpetually lodged in a book. As an adult, living in Cambridgeshire with her husband, son, cat, and dog, not much has changed. When not searching for magic and adventure between the pages of her current read, you can find her scribbling away or studying for her masters in Creative Writing with the Open University. She is the co-author of The Wonder Team series. Robin Boyden is a freelance illustrator based in Herefordshire in the West of England. In 2007 he graduated from University College Falmouth with a First Class Honours Degree and soon after completed a Masters in Art and Design.
Robin works in the picture book and middle grade fiction market and has previously worked as editorial illustrator. He has twice been selected for the AOI Images annual and has worked for numerous clients in the publishing and editorial sectors worldwide.
