A breathtaking tour through Ireland's illustrious literary history, spanning over two centuries and counties across the island. Ireland: A Literary Anthology is an expansive treasury of writing from the 'land of saints and scholars'. Here you will discover the works of Irish literary giants such as James Joyce, W. B. Yeats and George Bernard Shaw as well as lesser-known authors that here are given the attention they deserve, such as Hannah Lynch, Katharine Tynan and Emily Lawless. From fairy stories to poetry, and from the country's cities to its most remote corners, this is a fascinating journey through Ireland's landscapes through the eyes of its many gifted writers. This anthology is edited by academic Niels Caul.
Niels Caul is an adjunct faculty member of Champlain College on its Dublin campus, Ireland, and holds a PhD from University College Dublin. He has published in the James Joyce Quarterly, Irish University Review and Irish Studies Review. He has curated literary exhibitions for UCD Special Collections and Museum of Literature Ireland. He is the author of James Joyce's Early Works in Ireland's Textual Cultures.
